Farmyard Fun

So far the holidays have not gone to plan, (although the weather has been so much better). I spent 8 hours at the hospital with my mother-in-law who was then admitted and is still there, and then promptly fell down the stairs the next day and twisted my knee, almost flattening her 15 yr old dog as I went (I'd like to see me trying to explain that one!) I thought that would give me a guilt free conscience to do nothing but make cards for a couple of days, however I couldn't sit at my desk as I couldn't bend my knee! Actually, I still can't, but I really can't face another trip to accident and emergency! And so my next card will only just get entered by the skin of my teeth into the challenge at Passion for Promarkers where the theme is 'Animal Crackers' and with just a little bit more time at I Love Promarkers where this week 'Anything Goes'. I have had these stamps for a while and not really used them, but thought they would do the job nicely. I have paper pieced the saddles and flowers.

One for the Boys.

I always struggle with male cards, especially for teenagers and so when I saw this stamp I ordered it immediately as I thought it would be perfect for all the male teenager birthdays I have coming up. I have entered it at Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge where the theme this month is 'One for the Boys'.

Shopaholic

My second card today is one I made for a friend of mine who likes to 'shop until she drops', so I hope she finds the funny side, I thought it fit the bill for this week's challenge at CES where the theme is 'humour/funny'.

Dressing Up

Thank goodness the school holidays are here! The only downside to moving to the country is that we are no longer on a bus route into town, so I have been having to ferry my eldest to his work experience placement. My youngest has had me going all over the place for parties and outings as he is leaving primary school, my mother in law has gone into hospital, so I'm back and forth up there and then there's work and housework to fit in. It's a good job I work for my husband and I can juggle things about a bit! Anyway, with the school holidays here, I don't have to go into work so often, which means more time for crafting and I have been busy as I have some lost time to make up for! I have entered today's first card in several challenges. At Passion for Promarkers, we have a lovely sketch to follow by Michele, at LOTV the theme is 'Fun & Games', at Stamp Something we have to use embellishments and at Your Next Stamp the theme is a recipe - 3 types of embellishments, 2 papers and 1 image. My apologies for the photo, I was in a rush, as usual!

Feeling Summery

As I have been away from my crafting desk for a while, I thought I would treat myself to a couple of small purchases, one of which is a digi stamp from Cuddly Buddly and I have used it on today's card for their challenge at Cuddly Buddly Digi Challenges where the theme this week is 'Bright Colours and Butterflies'. I have followed the sketch from ICS and have also entered at Pollycraft Monday Challenge where the theme is 'Summer Fun' and I think my card is summery even if the weather isn't! I was stressing as I couldn't find the right coloured card to match the green I have used and then realised that I could colour some plain card with the same promarker and use that!

Pretty in Lilac

Well! When I wrote my last post back in November, I had no idea it would be so long before I wrote the next one! We have finally moved and I have half of a fantastic roof office for my crafting, it's comfy, it's warm, it's got carpet!! it's so much better than being in the garage in the last house, but I'm just not getting the time to spend in it! Life is so hectic, I won't bore you with the details, but I have made a promise to myself to just enter at least one challenge a week and anything else is a bonus. So I was really pleased to see that at Passion for Promarkers this week's challenge is to include some gingham (and to use promarkers of course). I made this card for a good friend and was so pleased with it that I made two more using the same design, just changing the colours, but the lilac one is my favourite.
