Sensational Birthday

Here is another card I made for J & C Creations. Most of the products I have used are available from their website and there is a quick 'how to make' tutorial on their Blog. I love this Penny Black stamp, I just have to smile when I look at the animals having a ball, or perhaps it's the cow toting her cowhide handbag, lol!

In The Black

Today's card is a bit different from my norm, it's rare these days not see a stamped image on my cards, however I wanted to enter the Come & Get It Challenge this week as they have a sweet sketch and a stamped image didn't really fit. Mind you, by the time I get this posted I might be too late, where does the time go?! I love black & white, but couldn't resist a tiny splash of colour with the gem!

A Forgotten Treasure

Having gotten the hang of colouring hair with my Promarkers (not perfect, but much better now!) , I decided it was time to practice colouring pleats. I was searching through my stamps when I came across this sweetie, I have not used her for absolutely ages and thinking back, I do not believe I've ever posted a card with her on it. So, not quite the result I was after, but not too bad me thinks.

Summertime

Well, the rain finally stopped today, the sun made an appearance and several challenges this week are summer related, so in celebration I have made a summery card. I was the lucky winner at Dutch Dare recently and my prize was to choose 3 digis from Crafty Sentiments Designs. It was a hard choice as they are all lovely, but I managed to pick 3 and one of them was this gorgeous image, 'Tess Summer Fun' - very apt! I cut out the circle myself again, I really must invest in some circular card blanks!

In The Pink

Today is the 13th of the month, so that means a brand new challenge at J & C Creations. I'm particularly excited about this challenge as it's the first time I am showcasing a DT card. This month the theme is easy peasy - Anything Goes, so there is no excuse not to get crafting and join in the fun. By the River

I missed last week's sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, I really must be more organised! So I'm getting in early this week with Sketch #162.

I'm having a good week so far. I've won a prize at Dutch Dare and have been nominated for a top 5 spot at Passion for Promarkers & Come & Get It. And, thanks to Bev's fantastic video tutorial I am much more happy with my colouring of hair (this cutie ended up in the bin 3 times 'til I watched the tutorial!) All I need now is for the sun to come out! (won't hold my breath).

Joanna Sheen GDT Card

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Joanna Sheen and I have the honour of being a Guest Designer! This fortnight the theme is Going Round In Circles and here is my card. I don't own any circular cards, so this was made the old fashioned way with a compass and scissors. I have used one of the images from the Joanna Sheen 'Daisy & Friends' cd, she's a real cutie. I have used my new Memory Box die which I bought from the Joanna Sheen online shop and I can't get enough of it (as you can see!) The paper has polka dots on it, I've used circular die cuts for the image and finished off with round flowers and tiny round pearls, so I think I've pretty much kept to the theme lol! There is one drawback to being a Guest Designer and that is I can't join in the challenge!! so I'll have to see what other challenges my card will fit into!

Hedgehog Birthday Visit

More Penny Black today, can't get enough of their cute characters at the moment. I wanted to enter the challenge at Penny Black Saturday this week where the theme is 'Hot Metal', but I realised that my stash does not include much metal at all. However this was remedied after a trip to J & C Creations yesterday where I picked up a packet of these gorgeous heart charms (and a few other bits as well, including the doily die!)

Summer Sparkle

I've been feeling summery this week and so today's card reflects that as the colours are warm and summery. Instead of a cute image I've gone for this lovely butterfly. I must admit I've had the papers a while, but have been reluctant to use them as they are so pretty and sparkly - I wanted to keep them to myself! Unfortunately they don't show up well in the photo.
